Role Summary/Purpose: |
As Accounts Payable Team Leader you will partner with other GE Businesses to execute on this key area within the finance organization. You will lead a diverse team and work with other GE Businesses to deliver strong accounting, and to ensure compliance across all operations. Helping to drive simplification and consistency across GE will be a constant focus. |
Essential Responsibilities: |
- Lead a team of AP Analysts administering standardized accounting procedures in line with GE policy, local accounting regulations and US GAAP.
- Manage and perform month end close activities to ensure submission to deadlines
- Establish and Lead B2P Operations functions in the countries/ commodities/businesses that they shall be assigned
- Ensure excellence in AP standardization in the major businesses that shall be assigned to them in compliance with the B2P Enterprise Standards and run simplification across AP processes.
- Follow internal controls to prevent Compliance risks, establish strong Improper Payments, AML, Work with Suppliers & Government, Data privacy controls.
- Analyze financial transactions, determine accuracy, insure completeness and compliance to established policies & procedures and GAAP
- Drive a benchmark process to ensure that they meet/exceed the best in class B2P metrics, Percentage of electronic invoices, FPY, Average Receipt Days and Cost per Invoice
- Interact and respond to auditor queries, internal and external as necessary

Qualifications/Requirements: |
- Written and verbal fluency in English
- 2-3 years AP / P2P shared service centre experience leading a team
- Experience of motivating & managing team of professionals to deliver to consistently high standards
- Proven ability to drive team performance with a focus on quantitative and qualitative metrics
- Experience of effective management of under-performance
- Effective interpersonal skills and highly professional style when dealing with business clients
- Comfortable delivering against quantitative and qualitative performance metrics
- Compliance & controllership mindset
- Proficient IT skills including Excel and Outlook
