Type of job: 6 months Internship Placement for students (1st July 2013 – 17th Jan 2014)

The mission of the IBM Germany Internships Team is to advance the Global mindset of cooperative IBM students / graduates and provide our internal customers (IBM Business Units) – in Germany and abroad – with students / graduates who:
are highly qualified and motivated to spend a significant part of their professional education abroad
• have been nominated and prepared to do so on the basis of market requirements
• successfully perform in international internship placements abroad
• have Global IBM insight
Our team’s success is based on pro-active communication and collaboration with anyone involved in the ww internship placement process:
– We the Global Young Talent Team
– Our German cooperative IBM students
– All student managers in Germany and ‘hiring’ managers / supervisors abroad
– The IBM University Programs Team we are part of and our IBM Germany HR Management Board
Responsibilities include:
– Acquisition, promotion and regular updating of ww internship positions in our database
– Preparation and facilitation of interactive teamwork and other collaborative business activities such as meetings, presentations, teleconferences etc. where business language is English or German
– Approval and controlling of students’ travel expenses
– Evaluation of students’ feedback
Requirements:
– Excellent English in speaking and writing
– Advanced level of German to feel good in our German office
– Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint) is essential
– Lotus Notes is an advantage but no must
