Job Role: BigData Project Manager – (Telecom)
Job Location: Bucharest, Romania
Job Type: 12 months contract (Freelance)
Job Description:
Purpose Of Role:
The role holder can be responsible for providing effective support for projects and leadership of small/medium projects, dealing with all relevant issues, often without the guidance of the manager. May involve managing units of leads and other managers of teams.
He/she provides support/leadership in the formulation of Customer Experience Management, Big Data & Telecom Network Analytics evolution plans.
The role holder can also be responsible for supporting real time operational systems providing leadership and guidance on resolving complex technical issues owning operational processes and ensuring support is provided to meet service level standards. In addition he/she may work proactively with the business to define new product developments.
Skills/Experience:
- Experience in Telecom domain is preferred.
- Experience in BI / Reporting will be preferred
- Experience in Agile Delivery and PMP/Prince certification is preferred
- Basic Knowledge on 2G/3G/4G network.
- Acts as a key contributor in a complex/critical environment.
- May co-ordinate activities of others/the team (team leader).
- Has depth of expertise in more than one area.
- Applies knowledge/skills to a range of activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Good presentation skills (create and consolidate program/project status effectively)
- Good Communication skills
- Forecast and plan resource requirements. Allocate work across team to ensure timely delivery of projects / enhancements
- Experience with Hadoop applications on administration, configuration management, debugging and performance tuning.
- Installing, configuring, and administrating Hortonworks/Cloudera cluster
- Collaborate and implement the overall enterprise data strategy.
- Design, develop and maintain conceptual, logical and physical data models for enterprise data warehouse
- Build / Strengthen the relevant capabilities on the team & drive continuous productivity improvements
- Proven leadership experience in leading & mentoring data engineering teams
- Evaluate, recommend, implement and maintain data engineering & management tools that drive business benefit
- Expert level proficiency in Teradata & Oracle technologies with 5+ years of technical work / project experience with these tools & technologies
- Experience in Telecom domain is preferred.
- Experience in BI / Reporting will be preferred
- Experience in Agile Delivery and PMP/Prince certification is preferred
- Data Science and Analytics experience is a plus
- Knowledge on Telecom and eTOM
- To work with internal, external and third party suppliers.
- To act as a key contributor and provide expert advice to other groups on technical and operational issues.

- Maintains a reputation for quality and delivery of their expertise to the business.
- Responsible for engineering delivery plans for larger projects/programmes.
Authority/Decision Making:
- Works under broad direction.
- Full accountability for own technical work or project/management responsibilities.
