BAR MANAGER SUMMARY & JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an ambitious, committed, experienced, hardworking, organized & proactive Bar Manager to build our team! You will play a key role in handling the day-to-day operations of the bar and staff of our hospitality property.
The ideal candidate will be able to put the finishing touches to a property on the verge of opening. You will participate in the hiring of staff, then supervise, train, and schedule all employees. Communicate and build strong relationships with vendors.
Promote and grow the business, by ensuring that customers are receiving excellent drinks, food, and service. As the Bar Manager, you will also manage inventory and resources and coach the staff to maximize customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with diverse personalities and should be able to diffuse tense situations.
You will also be expected to lead your team by an example.
BAR MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Enforce Customer Service & Customer Care
Enforce a strong commitment to customer service within the team.
Handle customer queries or complaints with sympathy.
Maintaining a fun, safe, welcoming and comfortable atmosphere for customers
Handling Staff
Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counselling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
Monitor drink preparation, assign duties and mentor the team
Provide for coverage in case of employee absence and adjust staffing as necessary to meet business demands.
Business
Ensure adherence to stock control & cash management procedures
Handle paperwork and other administrative duties.
Make certain all deliveries are checked in correctly and documentation is correct
BAR MANAGER EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS – MUST HAVES.
Native Hungarian Speaking, Fluent English
4+ years of experience working in as a manager in a bar/restaurant environment.
Attention to detail & outstanding organizational skills
Capacity to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
You should have the ability to think critically and efficiently and be a skilled communicator with excellent problem solving, observation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
Willingness to work during peak hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
