Full-Time Data Scientist
Job Description
Key responsibilities:
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports/notebooks
Support our teams with data crunching, analysis and interpretation
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends, patterns and new process improvement opportunities in complex data sets
Work closely with management to prioritize business and information needs
Support the ongoing optimization of our data pipeline, analytics infrastructure and reporting platform
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Specialist or Data Scientist
BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or equivalent experience
Expertise with BI/OLAP and reporting tools (Tableau, Spotfire, Periscope, GoodData etc.)
Proficiency in databases and SQL
Knowledge of statistics, experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets and additional analysis coding abilities (at least one of the followings: R, Python, SPSS, SAS etc.)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, doing your daily job in English within an international team
Of advantage:
Experience in travel and/or e-commerce industry
Solid programming skills (Scala, Java, Python or Javascript)
Experience working with the Big Data ecosystem (Hadoop, Hive, Spark etc.)
Experience with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics
Knowledge of French or other foreign languages
