| Role Summary/Purpose |
| GE is looking to harness its data to drive productivity outcomes across the Enterprise, similar to the outcomes GE drives for its customers leveraging Industrial big data. A team is being assembled to lead this charge across GE. This architect will be responsible for identifying the technology required to deliver and scale business outcomes and identify technology solutions to scale DaaS offerings. |

| Essential Responsibilities |
The architect will focus on the following:
- Deliver roadmaps, proofs of concept, implementation and usage guidance to ingestion managers, data engineers and data delivery managers
- Influence tech stack to meet enterprise data demand and production requirements including BI, Analytics, Data Science
- Partner with vendors and big data platform teams to validate & deliver new technology

| Qualifications/Requirements |
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or in a quantitative field.
- Broad experience in data warehousing and ERP integration
- Familiarity with Big Data technologies like Pivotal Greenplum, HDFS, HBase, Apache utilities. (Hive, Spark)
- Solid grasp of Integration technologies such as Sqoop, Talend, and real time data replication tools
- Influencing skills to build consensus
