Freelance Docent (tour guide)
Job Description
Context Travel, a leading organisation in travel for intellectually curious travellers, is looking to expand its docent pool in Budapest.
Context is a very different sort of travel company: we work with local scholars and experts to create theme-based “walking seminars” in major cities worldwide. Context currently operates in a number of European cultural capitals, including Rome, Paris, and Barcelona, as well as in Asia and the United States – 25 cities in all.
Our groups are very small, 6 people maximum. Most of the participants are from abroad (mainly Canada and the U.S.), and the idea is that these walks are in-depth explorations of a topic, not a scripted “tour” in the traditional sense.
We are looking to hire freelance docents (guides) to lead walks in Budapest.
