Ology Journals is an Open Access publishing company located in Budapest, Hungary. At Ology Journals, our main goal is to provide people all over the world access to quality science for free. We believe that research should be accessible regardless of status, location, or income. Here at Ology Press we have many journals, ranging from healthcare, to agriculture, to engineering, and we are looking to add an Executive Research Analyst to our team to help grow our Open Access publishing company.
Description:
As an Executive Research Analyst, you will work from the Budapest office and will be responsible for the management of 3-4 journals. This includes promotion of the journals online, regular communication with editorial board members, and facilitating the communication between authors and editors as manuscripts move through the publication process. No knowledge of healthcare or science content is necessary as this is primarily a marketing/communications role.
Key responsibilities
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Promoting Ology Journals on platforms such as linkedin, academia, loop, and via email communication;
- Reaching out to scientists and specialists to join as editorial board members and submit articles;
- Managing double-blinded communication between editors and authors throughout the review process of submitted manuscripts.
Requirements:
- Experience working with MS office software.
- Proficiency in the English language (all daily operations are completed in English).
- Knowledge of email etiquette is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Preferred: Marketing/Communications, Public Relations, Human Resources, or Publishing with some interest/experience in science or healthcare.
Experience:
No experience is necessary, but excellent communication skills are key, as you will be the representative of the journal and will be communicating with scientists from different countries and backgrounds. You should be familiar with the norms for writing formal emails vs. messaging on platforms like linkedin.
