Part-Time Graphics Designer
Job Description
This is a remote, home-based position.
Scopic Software (www.scopicsoftware.com) is seeking for talented, hard-working, passionate Graphic Designer who wants to do interesting work. Scopic Software is US-based company with employees in more than 10 different countries. The company develops graphics, multimedia and image processing/analysis software for the desktop, web and mobile platforms. Engineers work from the comfort of their home using a PC and internet connection. Work is interesting and challenging.
Requirements:
- Good English, including spoken English.
- Talent in manipulating the various elements of visual communication.
- Good background or work experience.
- Developing concepts, graphics and layouts and creating design for Web, Desktop and Mobile platforms.
- Creativity, originality and innovation in producing new ideas and concepts.
- Computer and Software Proficiency (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and other tools).
- Understanding and using appropriate typographic art and fonts, pixel and vector art.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong understanding of user’s behavior on the web.
- Knowledge of web development technical constraints, and ability to work with it.
- Keeping up to date with new developments in design software, latest trends and techniques.
- Understanding the client business challenges, trends and options in the business and commercial environment.
- Demonstrating illustrative skills with rough sketches/wireframes and the ability to explain ideas to clients and colleagues.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills and the ability to cope with several projects at a time and reaching deadlines.
- Estimating the time required to complete the work and providing quotes for clients.
- Interpreting the client’s business needs and developing a concept to suit their purpose.
- Good communication discussing changes and options and working effectively in a team.
- Being open to feedback, willing to make changes to your designs and professionally handling rejection
This is part-time position.
Hourly range – $9-$15/hour depends on experience and skills.
