Full-Time HR Advisor

Akzo Nobel is the largest global paints and coatings company and a major producer of specialty chemicals. It´s Deco Paint Business Unit is looking for an experienced
HR Advisor (for maternity cover, till 2020 August)
to join its international HR team, location in Budapest.
What your responsibilities will be:
- Providing support and guidance to employees and managers on HR-related matters
- Leading the operative HR tasks of the company
- Support the finance team in preparing data for payroll. Providing master data for the payroll company, supervising monthly payroll processes
- Annual salary review and performance review processes
- Ensuring consistency in HR approach across the company
- Organizing recruitment and selection process, managing employee starter and leaver processes
- Safeguard the company by ensuring compliance to local legal requirements in all aspects of HR policy, taking advice from outside legal advisors where required
- Help to promote awareness of the AkzoNobel Speak Up process and participate in investigations as required
- Manage local labor relations (unions, work councils)
- Counsel line managers and/or employees in employee relations procedures, including labor disputes
- Participate in local internal and external audits
- Coach and support people managers so that they have the necessary capability to carry out activities in the annual employee calendar and all connected
- Support and coach managers in dealing with day to day employee management, including individual performance issues and absence management
- Work with managers to improve employee engagement. Work with site or other management teams to encourage employee communication and support local engagement, organizing community events.
- Work with managers to identify and manage talent locally. Leverage the CoE’s expertise and resources to define an actionable development plan and ensure follow-up to build a talent pipeline and ensure succession planning.
- Be a role model for the company values and leadership behaviors and champion these locally
Our requirements are:
- University or college degree preferably in HR Management or Economy
- English, upper intermediate and Hungarian at native speaker level
- MS Office, HRIS, SAP
- At least 5 years of experiences in general HR roles as generalist and specialist
- Service and solution focused mindset
- Ability to work with some level of ambiguity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, highly developed interpersonal skills – individual, group
- Skills – initiative, stress resistance, analytical thinking & learning, team work & cooperation, integrity
