Job Description

Assignment Duration: 1 month with the possibility of extension for 3 more months Location: Preferably Budapest, or remote

Contract Details: Consultancy contract starting ASAP. Full-time preferably, but part-time also possible.

Compensation: 400 euro net per month

Background

Terre des hommes Foundation, a member of the International Federation Terre des hommes, is the largest international child right NGO in Switzerland established over 50 years ago. We operate in 36 countries with over 100 projects of development aid and emergency impacting over 2 million beneficiaries. We employ 1,500 people, including 130 based at our headquarters in Lausanne. Our direct assistance projects, strengthening systems and advocacy activities are primarily focused in the areas of maternal and child health and child protection.

In Europe, Tdh intervenes directly or indirectly in 22 countries, relying on teams based in Budapest (where the regional office is located), Albania, Greece, Kosovo, Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine.

THE ROLE

ICT4D Support will assist in the development and use of ICT to support innovations in programmes in the Europe Zone, support and follow assigned ICT components within programmes and projects and help with project / programme delivery with ICT components.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Help with the coordination of ICT4D projects and tools
  • Support the development of e-learning courses on child protection
  • Regular monitoring of ICT4D news and subsequent uploads to the ChildHub

PROFILE CRITERIA FOR SELECTION OF THE CONSULTANT

  • 2+ years’ experience in the field of ICT or IT Project Management
  • Relevant university degree (Bachelor’s or higher) from an accredited educational institution
  • Experience with online learning and learning management systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other core online applications (e.g. Analytical and survey tools, Blogs, Infographics)
  • Experience and knowledge in working with or in international organisations is essential; experience in INGOs would be advantageous
  • Up-to-date and significant knowledge of technological trends
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Strong ability to communicate with non-technical staff for establishing business requirements and converting these requirements into technical specifications
  • Flexibility, availability and adaptability
  • Excellent written and spoken English; an additional Eastern European language would be advantageous
  • Self-controlled, with skills to support others
  • Spirit and capacity for rigor and precision, transparency and honesty
