Job Description

IT Infrastructure operations engineer to work in Developers Work Place team. This team provides the infrastructure and tools needed for Developers. The job involves handling platform-related issues encountered during development, hot issues, and integration with platforms and providing technology support and consulting to arbitrary software development units.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical consulting and infrastructure maintenance
  • Managing Linux-based development/staging environments
  • Support operations including request fulfillment, troubleshooting, software
    configuration, patching, and upgrades
  • Deliver project milestones and tasks assigned by manager on schedule,
    communicating progress regularly
  • On call support on rotation basis with other colleagues

What we require:

  • 2+ years of experience in IT Infrastructure Operations
  • Sound analytical and problem resolution skills
  • Solution oriented and client centric mind-set
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills to work with globally distributed
    peers
  • Excellent technical understanding of industry standard application
    architectures (e.g. packaged solutions for Linux / Windows)
  • Solid experience in administering and navigating on Linux and Windows
    VMs in traditional (cloud environments is a plus)
  • Sound understanding of IT Service Management and ITIL concepts and
    disciplines (incl. Incident & Problem Mgmt, Change Mgmt, Capacity Mgmt,
    etc)
  • Hands-on experience in backend maintenance of tools & applications in
    place (Atlassian JIRA/Stash/Bamboo/Crucible, Microsoft TFS, Subversion,
    GIT, Jenkins, Sonarqube, etc) is a great advantage
  • Good understanding of the software development discipline and domain
    (having worked in a software development project is a plus)
  • Good understanding of enterprise security concepts incl. authentication
    and authorization (e.g. Kerberos, LDAP) is a plus

Qualifications:

  • Good English knowledge(Writing/Speaking)
  • Bachelor’s, Computer Science or Information Technology or
    equivalent
  • Relevant Sun Micro Systems / Oracle Certifications or
    equivalent
