Part-Time IT Security Specialist
Job Description
This is a remote, home-based position.
Scopic Software (www.scopicsoftware.com) is seeking intelligent, hard-working, passionate IT Security Specialist that want to do interesting work. Scopic Software is US-based company with employees in more than 10 different countries. The company develops graphics, multimedia and image processing/analysis software for the desktop, web and mobile platforms. Engineers work from the comfort of their home using a PC and internet connection. Projects can be short or long. Project team sizes range from 1 to 10 people, including QA and a project manager. Web-based project management, source code control and bug tracking software help to manage the development process. Work is interesting and challenging.
Job Requirements:
- Good English reading and writing skills.
Strong security background including, but not limited to the following:
- Architecting and deploying security technologies.
- Web application firewalls (WAFs).
- Intrusion detection systems (IDS).
- Security information management (SIM).
- Performing risk assessments and incident response.
- Knowledge of security best practices.
- Experience creating IDS signatures.
- Expert knowledge of WEB ATTACKS.
- Ability to view the history of a system, and determine what caused the system to be compromised.
- Experience running vulnerability reports and assessing them based on security best practices.
- Linux BASH scripting.
- At least 3 years of experience in the security area.
- PC for a work and good internet connection.
This is a part-time position.
Hourly rate range 20$-28$ per hour depends on experience.
