| Role Summary/Purpose: |
As Lead Accountant you will be responsible for monitoring and managing complex accounting activities. You will act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in accounting projects and especially migrations. You will provide support to more junior team members by clarifying accounting requirements, mitigating risks, and supporting customers on system changes. |
| Essential Responsibilities: |
- Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close processes of the corporate legal entities
- Coordinate simplification and standardization activities
- Generate complex financial reports, according to US GAAP standards (monthly, quarterly and annual)
- Ensure implementation and understanding of the financial policies and procedures in compliance with local legislation and the company rules
- Take a leading role as an SME in process improvement
- Ensure compliance to finance standards and practices

| Qualifications/Requirements: |
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other business related field
- Proficiency in the English language; a second European language is a big advantage
- 5+ years strong, multi-GAAP accounting experience
- Ability to lead junior members and coordinate external service providers
- Highly organised with demonstrated ability to meet commitments within strict deadlines
- Embrace change in response to new information and in different or unexpected circumstances
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer Literacy: MS Office, particularly Excel, and an ERP system
