Legal Recruiters (Emerging Markets – Budapest Based)

We are seeking both a seasoned senior legal recruiter (or lawyer) and as well a mid-level recruiter who has a couple of years of experience, to join our team. Your role will be to market and deliver specialist legal recruitment solutions to clients, and provide appropriate employment opportunities to suitable candidates. 

Legalis serves both Private Practice and In-House Legal Departments. Each consultant has a portfolio of clients and works to develop a high quality, consultative service, whilst developing long-term relationships.

Duties:

You will be responsible for Client Relationship Management with existing clients and new business generation with law firms and legal departments of corporate companies in the countries assigned to you. This includes:

          Activelycompleting business development calls/follow up.

          Managing and coordinating client assignments and implementation of projects.

          Ensuring that clients’ needs are met effectively and efficiently (on time).  

          Providing excellent client service.

You will work in accordance with Legalis’ Terms and Conditions and ensure billings are prepared promptly and accurately.

You will perform end-to-end Assignment Management and Placement duties including:

          Preparing a thorough role brief, recommending appropriate recruitment & advertising strategy, and striving to obtain “retained advertised” assignments or role exclusivity on contingent roles. 

          Drawing up assignment specifications.

          Adding and maintaining details on the internal database and undertaking initial database searches when required.

          Preparing and placing advertisements, and then managing all responses.

          Scheduling candidate interviews. (Where possible we will always meet our candidates before representing them, offering constructive advice, market knowledge and salary expertise, and providing an honest evaluation of your career opportunities.

          Carrying out reference checks and writing candidate reports.)

          Arranging client interviews.

          Completing post placement follow up.

Your Profile:

You should be fluent in English. Other European languages would be advantageous but are not essential.

Ideally you will already be based in Budapest (although for the absolutely ideal candidates we might consider other locations after an initial training period in Budapest).

Legal background or experience with a law firm is preferred but not required.

The best person for this role will be someone who is comfortable with having an individual revenue target. You will have a quarterly revenue target, which you will be expected to meet and on which you will be assessed. At the same time, you are expected to approach and make decisions from a company perspective, with your teamwork in the forefront of your mind, whilst also making sure you communicate in a direct manner.

You should be prepared to work flexible hours; evenings when necessary to attend events. This position requires a one year commitment at least.
