ABOUT THE CLIENT: Our client is an international shipping, logistics and marine company with operations in Qatar.
JOB SUMMARY: Our client is looking for Manager – Industrial Logistics Projects. Ideally the individual will be currently living, or having previously lived, in the Gulf. The individual will have industrial project and heavy lift experience, not simply general freight forwarding. Our client is looking for the newly appointed candidate to start as soon as possible.
JOB DESCRIPTION: Overall objective
- To manage and drive business with Industrial Logistics Projects.
- The manager needs to provide leadership and direction to subordinates and make sure internal procedures are followed.
- This role also includes developing customer relations with existing and new clients according to target set by the company.
- Since projects customers are very demanding, we expect the right candidate to have full control of all parts of operations as well as administration.
- The manager will be financially and operationally responsible for all business secured.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES: Requirements
- ABLE TO LIVE AND WORK IN QATAR
- Higher Level Education – Degree from top tier European University.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in general international logistics and at least 5 years of experience from industrial project logistics.
- Documented experience from handling oversized and heavy cargo as well as heavy lifting.
- Good knowledge in handling of Dangerous and Hazardous goods.
- Good knowledge in handling Project tenders.
- We expect the right candidate to have knowledge and experience in profit and loss sheets as well as general finance skills.
- Previous experience from working in the Middle East will be appreciated and considered a plus for the applicant.
- Good written and spoken English is a must, preferably German too.
