MATERIALS LEADER
Our partner, who is a multinational production company operating in the field of automotive and premium office furniture components is currently looking for an experienced Materials Leader in Pest County. The aim of the position is to develop and carry out a vision for materials strategy in the newly started operation.
Main responsibilities of the Materials Leader:
• Maintaining and improving the materials system, building up and managing the processes
• Assuring material availability for the production and assembly
• Coordination of the shipping and receiving activities and processes – raw material and finished goods shipping within EU
• Managing warehouse and freight costs, process development activities
• Participation in cost-reduction and optimization projects, conducting them
• Supporting the development of local supplier strategies and projects – monitoring supplier performance
• Controlling inventory, ensuring optimal levels, providing continuous accuracy
Requirements:
• University/College degree or significant related experience
• At least 5-6 years experience in materials field at multinational production companies (furniture components or automotive/electronic industry background is preferred)
• Fluent English knowledge (German is considered a strong plus)
• Experience in supervising employees, proven leadership skills
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, confident appearance
• Strategic thinking combined with a „hands-on” mentality
• Knowledge of LEAN principles/manufacturing
