This is a remote, home-based position.

 

Scopic Software (www.scopicsoftware.com) is seeking intelligent, hard-working, passionate Intermediate PHP, JavaScript Developer that want to do interesting work. Scopic Software is US-based company with employees in more than 10 different countries.  The company develops graphics, multimedia and image processing/analysis software for the desktop, web and mobile platforms. Engineers work from the comfort of their home using a PC and internet connection. Projects can be short or long. Project team sizes range from 1 to 10 people, including QA and a project manager. Web-based project management, source code control and bug tracking software help to manage the development process. Work is interesting and challenging.

 

Skills required:

• Good English reading and writing skills. Ideally good verbal English skills.

Good backend programming skills:

• PHP, experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Yii, Laravel, Zend).
• SQL Databases (including MySQL).
• Good skills with Linux. Windows Server is a plus.

Fronted programming skills:

• HTML5, CSS
• JavaScript, including Javascript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, Backbone.js, knockoutjs, node.js).
• Dedication and discipline to work remotely from home.

 

Skills preferred (optional):

• Experience with Amazon Services.
• Experience dealing with large volumes of data and real-time web apps.
• Experience with TCP/IP, Web Sockets.
• Experience with audio and video programming.
• Experience with 2d/3d graphics programming.

This is a full-time or part-time position.

Hourly rate range $9-14/hr depends on experience.
