Full-Time Perl Developer
Job Description
DETAILS:
Location: Budapest,Hungary
Type: Permanent/contract (open for both)
The role involves the maintenance of the initial version of the product as well as moving development into the next phases of the project to introduce new functionality that is missing from the first version. The candidate will work with operations teams and other customers to incorporate feedback on day-to-day use into future versions.
The successful candidate will be expected to:
· Develop firm wide SSL certification automation tooling in Perl
· Maintain the product, while designing and implementing new features
· Work with consumers of the product to assist with integration
· Maintain documentation, assist customers through FAQ entries and similar
· Resolve issues escalated from operations teams
· Interpret high level functional requirements to create detailed implementation designs / plans
Skills Required
· Excellent problem solving skills
· Strong verbal and written skills to interact with global teams and customers
· Solid experience of developing in Perl, including object orientated coding
· Experience building multi-tier applications
· Strong proficiency in Linux or other Unix variant
· Good understanding of secure coding techniques and IT security principals in general
Skills Desired
· Experience with certificate lifecycle management
· Experience of source control systems, preferably GIT
· Experience of MQ Series and RDBMS programming in Perl
· Understanding of X.509, RSA and general certificate management processes
· Experience with public key infrastructure (PKI)
· Strong understanding of technologies such as REST and JSON
· Appreciation of scalability applications development
· Experience with issue tracking systems, preferably Jira
· Experience developing asynchronous event driven applications
· Understanding of enterprise authentication and web security
· Understanding of change management processes
· Ability to plan work, estimate and deliver autonomously and equally partner with other engineers and operations staff
