Full-Time Program Schduler
Job Description
Task(s):
- Acts fairly independently when creating the Monthly Schedule under the guidance of the Programming Manager.
- Send out the necessary documents about the Monthly Program to On-Air, Marketing and to Playout on a monthly basis.
- Enter the monthly schedule data into the Database.
- Work closely to Promo Schedulers, and ensuring they meet the responsibilities and requirements of they job description.
- Monitoring channel output across channels, to ensure all above elements work effectively together. Adapt methods and strategy where necessary.
- Ensure all programming is kept within its license periods across the channels and evaluate runs to maximize amortization.
- Co-operate with Traffic Coordinators regarding materials & segmentation.
- Working closely with the Programming Manager, in creating the Monthly Schedules for the year by assessing market trend, competition, ratings (where available) and audience feedback.
- Regularly meetings/conversation with Research/Marketing/On Air about program ratings, marketing and promotion campaigns, and ensure relevant individual/channel information is available to the Presentation Schedulers.
- Awareness of the relevant compliance regulations.
- Ensure Presentation Schedulers are aware of and employ relevant requirements within the parameters of Presentational Scheduling.
Requirement(s):
- Requires familiarity with relevant scheduling software and systems
- Strong time management skills.
- Able to work on deadline and under pressure circumstances.
- Fluent English is preferable.
- To have a basic understanding of the local TV/media business and overall industry trends in the channels region.
- Requires resilience and stamina to sustain performance when under pressure from a high volume of work
- TV enthusiast and TV content fan
