Job Description :
Built or worked with systems and tools for acquiring, curating, analyzing, validating, reporting, and augmenting language and speech data.
Design, develop, and maintain crowd sourcing tasks and processing pipelines for collecting, validating, and annotating natural language data. Pipelines include Transcription, Speech Collection, Text Variant Collection, Semantic Annotation, Named Entity Tagging, Pronunciation Validation.
Worked with crowd sourcing platforms for transcription processes. Eg. Mechanical Turk, UHRS etc.
Worked on Projects that used to transcribe millions of individual sentences across multiple languages especially in English & German.
Managed new annotation process for multiple languages. Responsible for entire annotation process from initial data delivery to final annotated data delivery.
Principle point of contact for client team as well as vendor annotation team. Worked closely with both sides on all parts of the project. Established best working practices for the project.
QA Improvement and Routine Delivery: Improve entire transcription QA process. QA process ensures that data delivery to clients is carried out in the expected timeframe with the overall quality bars being maintained.
Primary point of contact with both transcribers and QA transcription team to determine that QA bar is maintained and if possible improved.
Deliver consistent and precise feedback, including positive feedback, to Transcription & Annotation teams to allow them to meet QA bar.
Work to improve communication loop so that all questions raised are answered. Drive weekly QA meeting with transcription team.
Work on new processes in terms of overall data usage to allow for automation of QA process, this will allow for less manual interaction and more time efficient verification of data received
Familiar with terms such as Word Accuracy Rate, SemAR, Overturn Rate, Z-Score, NLU etc.
Past experience: Worked with Google, Microsoft Bing or other Search Engine providers in a similar capacity
