The Sales Excellence Business Analyst role is responsible for developing key insights and enabling critical decision-making that helps the field’s business performance, through: •Pipeline quality •Scorecard metrics are in place, tracked and reported •Data reporting, analysis and recommendations produced in a value-add and consumable way •Roles have the reporting and analysis required to make decisions and course corrections with confidence Responsibilities: •Provide financial and operational support to the Sales Excellence Manager and the Segment Lead to monitor business performance (e.g. participate in Rhythm of Business (ROB) calls, Monthly Business Update (MBU), monitor forecasts, unit growth and market penetration) •Provide inspection, communication, support, and reporting of all business performance activities •Provide business insight analysis and interpretation of Segment Scorecard and revenue results •Perform pipeline coverage analysis •Manage the review process for large, critical and slipped deals and providing feedback into corporate regarding slipped, critical deals •Provide input to enhance infrastructure and taxonomies needed to support efficient management business reporting and decision making •Ensure segmentation process business rules are applied •Partner with Incentive Compensation team to help implement compensation changes in the subsidiary and ensure quota process and improvements in place •Support the Segment Sales quota process by reviewing and influencing the quota at the beginning of the fiscal year •Support financial planning process plan in collaboration with Sales Excellence and Segment Leads Key Required Competencies: •Education, knowledge and experience in broad-based business management •Sales or business analyst experience or a keen understanding of sales processes •Strong attention to detail in reports and financial/operational analyses •Strong ability to collaborate internally with people across sales and corporate responsibilities •Can clearly state in simple business terms the meaning and consequences of complex process, operations and financial reports •Strong integrator of multiple data sources to analyze that results in accurate decisions •Simplifies business operations within the context of corporate and local requirements and guidance •Strategic and pragmatic thinker who has balanced many factors (local business performance, resource constraints, characteristics of customer base and external market conditions) to influence leaders about what changes are appropriate for the business •Knows when to leverage his/her personal credibility and respect to appropriately influence change efforts •Ability to connect pragmatic, operational and analytic issues with the strategic “big picture” •A passion for systems and processes that are effective and run efficiently •Drive for results no matter what barriers exist If you would like to apply please send your resume to Annamaria More – a-annam@microsoft.com – and refer for the position name.
