Full-Time Senior Conference Producer

The Role
- Research and write content of conferencing programmes
- Identify and with recommendation of colleagues, thought leaders etc. contact potential speakers, mainly by phone and e-mail, and recruiting them onto the programme.
- Ensuring timely and pragmatic content that delivers on the business intelligence expectations of our customers
- Negotiate speaker fees and expenses and stay within the guidelines set down on the event targets
- Create and drive the strategy for sponsorship, marketing and delegate sales
- Ensure profitability of the event through effective project management
To be successful in this role you should be:
- Perform detailed desk and phone research; and compile research information
- Develop and write the content for a market-driven conference program
- Conduct market research to select, invite and secure high-level speakers to cover all the sessions in the program
- Generate new topic ideas for future events and develop ideas for highly profitable add-on days
- Project Management
- Ensure correct processes, guidelines and controls exist amongst internal departments to achieve deadlines
- Ensure profitability of events, create event budgets and monitor overall costs
- Onsite conference management: Ensure the smooth running of the event and liaise effectively with sponsors, speakers and delegates
- Networking with the delegates and resolving any unforeseen onsite issues
- Develop contacts and maintain industry relationships to improve the event in the future
- Complete post-conference reports and analysis
- Project lead working with Creative & Marketing Managers to decide on and ensure Brand Messaging and Layout is consistent across all our marketing – 4 websites, 2 blogs, advertorial – banners, ad campaigns, etc., event brochures and future company brochures.
- Experience of working in a deadline driven environment
- Strong research and analytical skills
- High-level competency in writing strong sales-driven copy in English
- Ability to work as part of a close knit team and start up environment
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Entrepreneurial/commercial aptitude
- Experience in European markets
- Demonstrated ability to grow events with experience in working with both delegate and sponsorship revenue
