Overall responsibility:

The Senior Digital and E-commerce Manager reports to the Head of Brand and Marketing for Wizz Air and is overall responsible for all e-commerce activities across the Wizz Air network. The role’s primary responsibility is to maximise the revenue within the e-commerce platform across all channels including wizzair.com, mobile, apps and social media. The person will manage the day-to-day monitoring and activities to maximise the performance. The person is also responsible for developing the digital and e-commerce strategy.

 

Responsibilities include:

Digital Marketing

  • Define Wizz Air’s Digital marketing strategy in line with the company vision and mission translating this into actionable activities that will drive users to our e-commerce platforms.
  • Taking a leadership role in developing our digital marketing strategy including creative developments.
  • Overall ownership of the associated media budget and agency network.

 

E-Commerce

  • Ownership of the e-commerce marketing and sales platforms.
  • Daily running of e-commerce marketing activities.
  • Develop the e-commerce team to a measurably effective unit with clear KPI, which can be monitored to show milestone progress and revenue development.
  • To place greater emphasis on the key stages of the e-commerce value chain and to appoint managers to take responsibility for each of those key stages.
  • Ensure that all available tools for success are managed under one team and improve the way of working.
  • Effectively influence consumer purchasing decision and become more effective of managing their path through the purchase funnel.

 

General

  • Leading, inspiring and energizing the team.
  • Ability to influence the broader Wizz Air organization to develop the digital and e-commerce platform.
  • Allocating marketing, advertising, sales tasks to managers to create an efficient and effective team.
  • Cooperating on a weekly basis with the rest of the commercial team to understand market strengths and weaknesses and quickly develop action plans to address them.
  • Leading projects related to web, marketing and e-commerce.
  • Controlling all cost associated with marketing and e-commerce activities.
  • Managing the development needs of the team

 

 

Requirements:

  • Completed university or college degree.
  • Broad e-commerce experience with at least one specialty (digital marketing, website management, CRM, SEM, Analytics, Content Management.)
  • Minimum 7 years of professional working experience with a blue-chip, highly customer focused company in other fast growing sectors.
  • Minimum 3 years of fully fledged marketing experience in Senior Digital Marketing roles, with special attention to analytics, digital marketing and e-commerce.
  • Management skills (proven experience building winning teams)
  • Strong experience in managing external agencies.
  • Experience of managing complex projects in multi-country operations.
  • Ability to work well under pressure ensuring tasks are prioritized and goals are met.
  • Has stamina, good presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Result-oriented, persistent, dependable and consistent.
  • Shows innovation, creativity and good lateral thinking.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe.
