Job Description

Scopic Software is the largest virtual software company in the world. We have almost 200 employees spread across 25 different countries. All employees work from home. We develop custom software applications for clients in North America and Europe. The company is looking to hire a talented Senior PHP/Javascript Developer. Work hours are flexible. Projects are interesting and challenging.

Skills required:
• Good English reading and writing skills. Ideally good verbal English skills.
• 3-4+ years of software development experience.
• Excellent backend programming skills:
◦ Proficiency in PHP, experience with PHP frameworks (e.g., Symfony, Yii, Laravel, Zend).
◦ Proficiency in SQL Datbases (including MySQL).
◦ Good skills with Linux. Windows Server is a plus.
• Good fronted programming skills:
◦ HTML5, CSS
◦ JavaScript, including Javascript frameworks (e.g., AngularJS, Backbone.js, knockoutjs, node.js).

• Software architecture and database design experience.
• Dedication and discipline to work remotely from home.

Skills preferred (optional):
• Flex skills
• Experience with other backend technologies / programming languages: ASP.NET, C#, Ruby on Rails
• Experience with TCP/IP, Web Sockets
• Experience with audio and video programming
• Experience with 2d/3d graphics programming
• Experience with Amazon Services

This is a remote, home-based position.

This is a part-time or full-time position. Full-time is preferable.

Hourly range rate is $15-$20/hour depends on experience and skills.
