COVANCE is a leading global drug development services company and we provide support to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.

We are recruiting for our GSS (Global Site Services) team and are currently seeking to hire a Site Contracts Specialist to help support the team with Review and negotiate site contracts, develop templates etc. on international level. This is a permanent, full time position, based in one of our Europeans offices.

About the Job:

Within this position, your duties will include:

  • Review and negotiate site contracts, confidentiality non-disclosure agreements, and other related documents in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, Sponsor’s fallback language, guidelines and defined processes;
  • Development of templates as per country and/or Sponsor requirements and development of any necessary template;
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and understanding of all current Sponsor’s contract processes and involvement in Sponsor’s partnership activities as delegated;
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of local regulations/laws;
  • Provide accurate tracking and progress of site contracts to project team and work closely with the operational teams for the timely delivery of fully executed site contracts within the study timelines.
  • Liaise and communicate with Covance corporate Legal, Clinical Operation and Finance departments when appropriate;
  • Provide accurate and concise guidance to queries regarding the financial payment arrangements/processes and legal obligations of the site contracts.

About You:

To be successful in this position, you will need to be educated to Bachelor level (or equivalent) in Law.

Additionally, you will need to demonstrate:

  • At least 3 years work experience in clinical research, including a strong working knowledge of the ICH-GCP guidelines, FDA, EU and IRB/IEC regulations.
  • Fluent in English (Speaking, writing and reading)
  • Another language would be an advantage.
  • Bachelor of Law from a European country other than UK would also be an advantage.
  • Strong networking abilities and an ability/willingness to work with internal and external stakeholders across the globe;
  • Good organizational and time management skills;
  • Self-motivation with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
  • Multi-tasking capability;
  • Excellent communication / writing skills;
  • Detail and process oriented;
  • Works well independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Positive attitude and approach;
  • Experience of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
