Full-Time VAT Accountant (Italian Speaker)

Job Description

Objective of the job:

VAT Accounting Support mission is to facilitate that a quality, reconciled accounting analysis is available for all tax computations, any financial impacts of external tax audits are minimized and company VAT returns are accurate and submitted on a timely basis.

The VAT Accounting Analyst is responsible for major operational and supporting activities with regards to the timely preparation and submission of the countries’ VAT return.

Responsibilities:
•Continuous and strong support to the VAT Accountant in daily accounting operational activities
•VAT analysis work to determine claimable and non claimable VAT for invoices with detailed or non standard VAT treatment.
•Manage the foreign VAT reclaim process, liase closely with local Tax consultants
•Monthly accounting tasks (ie. journal entries/voucher processing and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts)
•Pulling out reports from various IBM systems
•Support audits/queries
•Other administrative tasks (ie. data retention, communication, issue tracking)

Required skills, education and experience:
•Applied accounting skills
•Applied skills in using MSExcel spreadsheets
•Good English communication skills, both written and oral
•Good problem solving skills and ability to collaborate across different functions
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
•VAT knowledge an advantage, but not essential

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 1 year experience in Accounting
  • English: Intermediate
  • Italian: Intermediate

Preferred

  • Accounting/Finance
