Tasks/responsibilities:
 Directly supports the work of the development team by ensuring correctness and stability of continuously applied daily and weekly production system updates
 Responsible for all areas of functional testing of the system and user acceptance test levels
 Performs progression, regression and exploratory testing
 Identifies test tools, test environments, test data, test plans and harnesses needed to ensure successful testing of the developed software
 Uses the selected defect tracking and test case management system to document test sets, records test case execution results and defects
 Performs initial investigation of defects by reviewing configuration files, logs and database content; provides detailed reproduction scenarios
 Pro-actively looks for ways to improve quality and stability of our products, development processes and procedures
 Continuously monitors the live production system between releases in order to detect issues on the client side
 Provides assistance for creating, scheduling and maintaining automated tests
Required skills, abilities and knowledge:
 2+ years of experience in software testing; required to be a hands-on tester
 Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies for web applications
 Experience with all aspects of testing including test planning, test design, test execution, and test evaluation
 Knowledge of regression, system and user acceptance testing and software quality assurance best practices and methodologies
 Able to understand workflow of complex systems
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be a real team-player
 Able to prioritize and execute tasks in order to meet tight deadlines
 Good time-management skills with the ability to multi-task or work on multiple projects simultaneously
 Ability to work independently and creatively with a minimum of direct supervision
 Fluent written and spoken English
 Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar relevant technical field; or equivalent work experience
Complementary skills and knowledge:
 Experience executing SQL commands to validate data that is written to a database
 Familiarity with quality and quality-related metrics, experience with system health monitoring
and data analysis frameworks
 Experience with virtualization and Cloud Computing solutions, such as Amazon Web Services
 Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
 Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment, including tools such as Hudson/Jenkins
or Bamboo
 Ability/affinity to script; experience in test automation with Java/Selenium
 Experience in testing of usability concepts
 ISEB/ISTQB Certificate
 Experience in a startup culture
 Fluent written and spoken Hungarian would be a plus
