Role Purpose
The Senior Segment Marketing Manager owns the strategy for specific consumer segment of Mass Market, i.e. those consumers that don’t have children in their households. This includes setting a differentiated marketing and proposition direction, executing all inflow activities to win market share in the given segment.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
Segment strategy and commercial plan
Based on a deep understanding of the target segment, develop a segment growth strategy delivering on existing and future customer needs, and aligned with the company strategy. Develop a clearly differentiated positioning for Vodafone in the hearts and minds of customers.
Translate the segment strategy into a yearly commercial plan with other departments (including acquisition, lifecycle management, proposition, pricing, customer experience, brand and channel initiatives). Communicate the segment strategy and commercial plan to the rest of the organisation, giving pace and driving the cross-functional execution
Own and execute the consumer marketing calendar
Define a monthly marketing calendar including all customer promotions, channel activities and communication activities. Define campaign briefs targeted at specific segments, with clear objectives and based on real insights. Work with the brand team to develop compelling marketing campaigns delivering on the brief. Own the Go To Market process across the different departments for all product, proposition or promotion launches
Acquisition strategy
Design and execute customer acquisition campaigns. Work with the sales and distribution management to manage the inflow value using all commercial levers (promotions, terminals pricing, and communication).
Exceed Customer Expectations
Be the ambassador of the customer voice throughout Vodafone Hungary constantly putting insights at the heart of all proposition development. Set up clear processes to engage the commercial teams in the insights and in action planning.
Own a clear action plan per segment to reach high level customer commitment, identifying the levers to change customer’s perception. Mobilise the organisation behind such cross functional projects to be a clear #1 in customers’ minds and hearts.
By-channel trade marketing strategies
Define the winning trade marketing model for each trade channel, with special focus on Mass Retail.
Team leadership
Recruit, manage, train and motivate the segment marketing team, increasing the marketing and brand management talent. Implement the Vodafone Way throughout the team and act as a role model of the Vodafone Way behaviours.
Be an active member of the relevant Segment Marketing management team and Extended Management team.
Requirements
· University degree
· Strong analytical and strategic skills combined with deep passion for customer insights
· At least 3 years consumer marketing experience, either in the telecom sector, or with an international brand in a leadership role
· Track record of commercial acumen translated into business success
· Fluent English
