Full-Time European Logistics Specialist (General)
Job Description
– The purpose of the role is to support Sony Europe Logistics with various tasks with a standardized approach and contribute to updated Standard Operating Procedures and work instructions.
– Respond to incoming mails in the central logistics helpdesk, securing timely feed back on requests. Support in logistics planning with a close eye on deadlines and service level agreements. Direct communications with Sony’s Logistics Service providers (3PL’s) for quick action and feedback. The position owner will be part of a larger platform and will participate in the execution of defined logistics procedures and processes within agreed service levels.
– Support the logistics platform in the continuous transformation on the way to one aligned operation working in the same way and with the same targets.
Key Responsibilities & Scope for Decision Making
– Handle transport disputes, claims and returns.
– Inbound disputes, Action reporting.
– Logistics planning activities
– Being the point-of-contact of Sales Support for all disputes.
– Highlight bad trends and risk areas. Inform relevant parties within the logistics team so reasons can be investigated and resolved.
– Maintain Master Data integrity, executing defined procedures and processes in scope.
– Ensuring delivery of agreed service levels by platform team
– Supporting local In-country Logistics teams.
– Handle incoming requests in the Central Logistics Helpdesk
– Performing other activities as requested by Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
– Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
– In addition to English,German or Italian is beneficial
– Prioritization management with focus on deadlines.
– Solid background within an operational position.
– (eg. SAP, BW, etc.)
– Good Microsoft Excel skills allowing you to analyse and interpret data.
– High awareness of end-to-end processes, ability to investigate disputes and complex process flows
– Familiar with logistics processes and stakeholders in the supply chain.
– Background within Logistics or Sales Support.
– Experience in working with outsourced partners (WH, forwarders).
