Full-Time Support Engineer – .Net / Microsoft – L2
Job Description
Level 2 support engineer to cover DotNet / Microsoft tools / application support. Developers Work Place support involves handling platform-related issues encountered during development, hot issues, integration with platforms and providing corporate technology information, technology support, training and consulting to arbitrary software development units. Developers Work Place support acts as the primary contact for developers and development teams for technology platforms related development issues and requests.
Responsibilities:
- Application support / end user support for Dot Net / Microsoft based tools/ applications
- Supporting general Dot Net / MS related issues
- Managing Windows-based development/staging environments
- Managing / supporting TFS
- Support daily operations including mail box monitoring, request fulfillment,
- troubleshooting, hardware and software configuration, patching, and upgrades
- Deliver project milestones and tasks assigned by manager on schedule,
- communicating progress regularly.
- Author and update high-quality documentation of all relevant
- specifications, systems and procedures.
- On call support on rotation basis with other colleagues (run book based operation)
What we require:
- 5 + years of experience in Dot Net and Microsoft
- 2+ year of experience in Windows Mobile Software
- Experience working with software development lifecycle including source
- control systems (e.g; GIT, SVN, CVS), ticketing systems (e.g; JIRA,SNOW), collaboration tools like Wiki
- Strong knowledge in continuous integration / Build & Deployment tools like TFS, Jenkins/Hudson, Bamboo, etc.
- Strong knowledge in Database Tools and IDEs (Visual Studio)
- Strong knowledge about Windows based infrastructure
- Strong familiarity with scripting languages; PowerShell / batch scripting; optionally Ruby / Python
- Experience on Mobile Platform tools (xBot/mobileiron/etc) is a plus
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, able to nail down tricky problems
- Must have strong interpersonal skills to work within a close knit local support team as well as globally distributed peers.
Qualifications:
- Good English knowledge (Writing/Speaking)
- Bachelor’s, Computer Science or Information Technology or
- equivalent
- Relevant Microsoft Certifications or equivalent
