Bid Support Team Leader – German Speaking
Role Purpose:
The Bid Support Team Leader is responsible for planning and managing a team of Bid Specialists to Support German Sales Accounts in the pre-sales phase. He/she is the support contact for the Area Manager. He/she is responsible for the competence and the overall performance of the team creating proposal and answering customer requests.
Tasks:
- Support Sales in the pre-Sales process and responsible for creation of proposal.
- Managing the relationship with SPOC’s of the different impacted departments, Operations, Finance, Technology, Sales and, where needed, Legal
- Ensures governance and approval of the documentations
- Plan, manage and monitor the VSSB DE Bid Specialists’ operational performance
- Allocate work within the team in line with workload, competence and business continuity requirements
- Lead and work in virtual teams with the SPOC of the business interfaces
- Encourage and support Teamwork within the own department and act comprehensively, working together with the other departments
- Identify enhancement opportunities in the own area of responsibility to improve efficiency and quality
- Support project and optimization initiatives in the team
- Provide regular KPI and performance reports
- Represent the team in internal forums (meetings, newsletters, etc.)
Requirements:

German and English language (fluent in both written and verbal)

2-3 years of experience in bid management and/or sales environment

Supervisory experience, Able to work as part of a team, lead a team or work alone

Ability to work in a rapidly changing and dynamic environment

Good interpersonal skills and “can do” attitude

Ability to solve problems and provide practical and innovative solutions

Commercial acumen

Self-motivating and ability to work independently

Able to plan and prioritise work and time to meet changing requirements and short timescales

Telecommunications industry experience is advantage
