We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person for the following role:

 
 Commercial Manager / Pricing Specialist (German Speaking)
 
Vodafone has established a global Shared Service Centre (VOCH) in Budapest in October 2007 as part of its business transformation program “EVO” which consolidates the management of the transactional processes for Finance, Supply Chain Management and Human Resources for all Vodafone Subsidiaries.
Vodafone Global Enterprise (VGE) is a multinational company which provides telecommunications and information technology services to large corporations, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Vodafone Group.
The purpose of the Commercial Manager/Pricing Specialist role in the VOCH is to be a member of the Team which provides all commercial inputs for winning sales proposals in order to maximize profitability for VGE.
 
Tasks:
  • Manage Bid pricing and pre sales commercial activities in a timely manner, meeting Vodafone Global Enterprise objectives and mitigating risk
  • Proactively assist or lead the commercial pricing decision making across multi-products and services for VGE multinational enterprise customers
  • Working closely with the bid management and account teams to understand the scope of the customer’s global requirement
  • Management of multiple activities in an appropriate manner within a fluid and fast changing environment 
  • Create/structure commercial propositions; ensuring customer needs are addressed as well as Vodafone’s key financial requirements. Understand commercial options in the preparation of bid pricing and propose/implement logical recommendations
  • Assist and advise key stakeholders on the structure and development of commercial bids in order to maximize business profitability, with a particular focus on complex multi-facetted commercial propositions spanning multiple geographies
  • Proactively manage and collate pricing inputs from Vodafone Subsidiaries, and Partners. Reorganize, validate numerical inputs and address data discrepancies. Make recommendations, that cover all aspects of a deal over its lifecycle
Requirements:
  • Fluency in English and German is a must   
  • 1+ year experience developing compelling commercial & pricing propositions including customer facing negotiation
  • Quantitative first degree or postgraduate business qualification (typically Finance, Maths)
  • Clear understanding of strategic sales and pricing management
  • Strong communicational and negotiation skills. Excellent relationship builder, with the necessary personal impact to build credibility with customers, account and sales managers
  • Wholesale Telecoms experience considered an advantage
