Full-Time Communications Manager
Job Description
Purpose of the position:
The Communications Manager will play a key role within the Corporate Communications department of Wizz Air which manages the reputation of the company internally and towards the media and external agencies and develops the brand awareness, secures international press.
Responsibilities
- External communications
- Representing the company at media events, press conferences, including new route launches and base openings
- Handling press releases
- Updating key messages and media questions
- Media
- Keeping relationships with business journalists in national and trade publications across Europe
- Managing event production
- Media tracking
- Coordinating activities of agencies
- Internal communications
- Employer branding
- Implementation of internal stakeholder aspect of brand positioning and brand values
- Leading Intranet project
- Managing internal video production
- Managing the internal newsletter editions
- Organizing and leading internal update communications
- Managing the internal email distribution lists
- Leading the corporate event organization and communication
- Corporate identity
- Participating at the brand review project
- Reviewing the corporate templates
- Managing the Wizz Ambassador program
- Holding presentations for the employees about the company
- Writing articles in newsletters and magazines
- Public affairs
- Supporting senior management in communicating to government officials, including invitations to company events
- Crisis communications
- Advising the management in the effective communication in the event of any crisis situations
- Preparing and updating communications strategy to protect the company’s reputation in case of crisis situation
- Reports to: Head of Marketing, Communications and Sales
Requirements
- Finalized degree from University or College in Communications / Marketing / Business related subject
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in public relations and communications
- Good interpersonal, networking and communication skills
- Solid writing skills
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; Command of Hungarian is a plus
- Availability for international travel up to 50% of the time
- Effective research and administrative skills
- Initiative, eye for details and a team player, quick thinker
- Resourceful, flexible and responsive in dealing with people
- Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines
- Proficient in MS Office applications
