Full-Time Data Warehouse Developer
Job Description

Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for the day to day management and development of the Enterprise data warehouse;
- Working closely with the Data Architecture team, taking strategy and designs and owning development for projects and initiatives;
- Managing data warehouse, marts, ETLs and cube development and deployment activities:
- Estimation of development, testing and infrastructure requirements for projects
- Working with partners in the delivery of development packages and code reviews
- Providing the integration of external data sources;
- Ensuring systems and enhancements are secure and fully compliant;
- Transition to staging/production using the organisation’s change management process and working alongside the Production DBA team to support execution/deployments;
- Managing data warehouse maintenance activities;
- Maintenance of data integrity and quality across our data warehouse and marts ensuring that data is available, trusted and consistently accurate;
- Database capacity planning, performance, integrity and security;
- Defining and implementing data archiving and purging strategies;
- Working with Data Warehouse Architecture on Roadmaps and Strategy;
- Ensuring documentation including data models and standards is kept up to date.
Requirements:
- BA or MA degree in engineering, computer science, or maths;
- Background in Data Warehouse design and development;
- Ability to translate conceptual and logical designs into physical models;
- Experience of using data warehousing/modelling tools;
- Commercial experience using SQL Server skills in a database design or developer role;
- Database integration and ETL experience using Microsoft or other technologies;
- Experience of implementing database integration processes and patterns;
- Database and ETL performance tuning and optimisation skills;
- Strong analytical and communication skills;
- Experience working within Enterprise Architecture frameworks;
- Understanding and experience of the software development lifecycle;
- Experience of working with implementation and support teams.
Advantages:
