Full-Time MICE Sales Manager
Job Description
Five star Hotel in Budapest is seeking a self-motivated, talented candidate for
MICE Sales Manager position.
Basic purpose of the roll:
Promote and sell our property to MICE market in a defined geographic region. Generate resort awareness through direct phone sales; direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups. Work closely with sales team to solicit, sell and confirm MICE business required to meet budgeted sales goals.
The primary responsibilities will be:
- Increasing the sales performance of our Hotel by establishing, maintaining and expanding our customer base
- Develop accounts (new and existing) by mapping specific business and buying tendencies, maintain organized and professional plan for correspondence and follow up
- Conduct tours of our property to meeting planners and other potential customers while discussing all of our hotel services available; entertain customers on property during site inspections, pre-planning trips, and program operation when appropriate
- Reaching the targets and goals set for your area
- Servicing the needs of your existing customers
- Increasing business opportunities through various routes to market
- Developing sales strategies and setting targets
- Keeping up to date with competitors
- Reporting to Director of Sales
The ideal candidate will need to have:
- At least one year professional relevant hotel MICE proactive sales experiences
- A relevant qualification (university or college degree in Business Administration or in Hospitality Industry Management)
- Ideally a good understanding of the international MICE market
- Full professional proficiency in English, other foreign language skills is an advantage
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills
- Good business sense
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Excellent communication and ‘people skills’
- Good planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work calmly under pressure
