On behalf of our client, leader within automation and control solutions, we are currently looking for NPI Buyer

Job description

• Support and apply global sourcing strategy, especially with regards to the introduction of new material
• Responsible for getting new components successfully launched at the suppliers respecting cost and timing and quality targets
• Participate in the definition of new products in cooperation with R&D, Quality and other related functions
• Selecting new parts and suppliers in cooperation with Engineering and Commodity team
• Work with the Project Team and Sourcing Team to develop and agree cost targets for new components
• Cooperate with Commodity Managers to identify potential suppliers and commence supplier selection process and audits as appropriate
• Work on supply base optimization with approval from Commodity manager with a view to reduce number of suppliers, to achieve cost , leadtime, payment term, delivery, logistic solutions sourcing targets
• Identify opportunities for productivity projects in cooperation with Commodity Managers
• Conduct evaluation of supplier proposals and put forward recommendations that achieve project expectations
• Participate in projects requiring sourcing support as defined by Site Sourcing Leader
• Consolidate budget for all external investments including development/tooling etc for all new components within the project
• Manage suppliers and maintain project-tracking status for all components
• Perform all sourcing related administrative tasks of the projects and make the necessary follow up , most specifically regarding tooling, tooling orders, service acceptance, related invoices, schedule of sampling, approvals, initial stock building, other
• Conduct capacity analysis on New Product to ensure the supplier’s production proposition can meet demand requirements
• Track all cost changes and initiate/participate in reduction activities to stay below price target
• Take leadership for all supply base activities for the project and ensure actions from support functions are completed on time
• Support the development and implementation of processes to enhance the overall efficiency
• Parts standardization / consolidation by cooperation with Commodity Managers and other Honeywell Design Centers
• Ensures samples procurement and mass production ramp up
• Identify opportunities in alternative parts to support Component Engineering
• Reports to Site Sourcing Leader

• Good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent customer focus – internal and external
• Decisive, assertive, highly motivated and enthusiastic

Experience/Education Required/Sought:

• Fluent in English
• Degree economic/technical
• Demonstrated commodity/supply-chain experience in Purchasing
• Technical background
• Minimum 3 year sourcing experience
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• PPAP experience
• SAP experience
• Project Management experience
