Job Description
THE COMPANY
AfricaInvest publishes TanzaniaInvest.com, the n.1 web portal about business, economy and investments in Tanzania.
The portal is visited every month by thousands of businessmen, analysts and investors in the five continents interested in Tanzania and its vibrant economy.
The company also publishes Zambia-Invest.com and plans to publish other similar portal covering a number of African economies.
THE POSITION
This position entails writing daily business news, reports and articles.
This requires monitoring african media, researching and liaising with government agencies, stock exchanges, private organizations and companies and analyze data.
The Editor will work had by hand with the Chief Editor.
Excellent command of written in English is required for this position together with a good understanding of business, economics and finance.
The ideal candidate has a university degree in economics, business administration or finance. No prior experience in writing in required.
The chosen candidate will undergo training in:
– Tanzania and Africa economies
– Online Publishing
– Search Engine Optimization
– Content Management System (WordPress and Joomla)
This is a remote position, i.e. the Writer will be allowed to work from his/her own place. Daily and weekly briefings are held via email and skype.
The position can be full time or half time.
