Project Portfolio Manager
colleague for it’s Commercial Operations Team
Role Purpose
Ensure operational continuity of the Commercial-IT pipeline on the total spectrum of initiatives with primary focus on specification phase. This includes analytical and intelligence support for wide range of Business Lines and overall Governance routing.
Responsibilities
Commercial IT portfolio ownership
- Function as a single entry point for Commercial IT requests to board pipeline.
- Assure appropriate technical routing of all incoming requests. (Consultation, Initiative, Project, Report, IT enhancements, RFQs, Out-of-the- box)
- Act as a SPOC for comprehensive Commercial IT portfolio status.
Business unit support
- Function as a liaison to connect business unit program managers
- Support business unit program managers with up-to-date and in-depth portfolio status
- Provide planning input for BUPMs while managing development expectation for BUs.
Decision support
- Support Senior BA Manager terms of core scope, dependencies, synergies and priorities, in order to enable agile and smart leveraging of project portfolio.
Analytics & Planning
- Maintain and develop existing Portfolio Intelligence as required by operational continuity.
- Consult BA to collect comprehensive intelligence in a weekly basis.
- Consult business unit program managers to collect strategic inputs form BU in a weekly basis.
- Understand initiatives in terms of commercial value-chains, root-cause relations and core benefits.
- Track and report key Pipeline KPIs as requested.
- Support IT Client Relationship Manager in portfolio planning in design phase
Governance
- Provide project management and Governance support for irregular initiatives with inherent coordination challenges. (3rd party involvement, out-of-the-box solutions, RFQs ramp-up, Micro IT enhancements)
Requirements
- Good analytical and strategic skills and focus
- Good interpersonal and influencing skills
- Proven record of good people management skills
- Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, can work individually but very good team player
- Proactively seeking for new information and eager to learn
- Able to synthetize complicated concepts and to simplify the complex issues
- Fluent English
- At least 4 year experience in a multinational business environment, preferably telecommunications
- Business or technology degree (at least BA, MBA preferred).
- Familiarity with project management methodology and processes.
- Computer skills (inc. MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio)
