Full-Time Technical Product Owner, Core Services

Position Overview
LogMeIn is looking for a highly motivated Technical Product Owner to coordinate development of Gravity, the proprietary cloud connectivity and data platform powering the LogMeIn products, like LogMeIn Pro, join.me, Cubby and Xively. The Gravity platform is a set of internal software services, applications and systems that provide the underlying platform for the products developed by LogMeIn.
Our products built on the top of the Gravity platform serve tens of millions of users, manage hundreds of millions connected devices and moves petabytes of data requiring the highest standards in scalability, reliability and security.
The right candidate will work with internal stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure that they are completed and used by the product teams. They will lead collaboration between the Core Services development groups working on the Gravity platform and the various product development groups like LogMeIn Pro, join.me and Cubby. They will also be responsible for managing and prioritizing the feature backlog for the certain teams in the Core Services group. The product owner will report to the VP of Technology.
Responsibilities
- Along with the Core Management team, holds the vision for the Core Services and communicates the vision across development teams
- Collaborates with the Business Owner and Development Owner to understand the requirements and prioritize and sequence the Product Backlog to provide the most value
- Constantly communicates with the product teams about their needs and their usage of the Core Services.
- Understands technology trends to apply to software design.
- Gathers internal needs by collaborating with other product and business leads and by constantly monitoring emerging technologies
- Assists with internal and external communication, improving transparency
- Participates in project planning, reviews, sprint and release planning, demos
- Responsible for the creation of user stories and acceptance criteria
- Owns and maintains the product backlog and the release plans
- Monitors team velocity and seeks to continuously improve product development process
- Has complete authority to accept or reject work done
- Manages cross-product dependencies
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related
- At least 5 years’ of experience at technology companies
- Strong technical background as a developer
- SaaS software development experience
- Experience working in complex technical organization across global offices/locations in an Agile environment
- Fluency in English is required; Hungarian language skills are a plus
- Ability to manage multiple work streams concurrently and deliver on-time
- Ability to innovate with designs to go beyond what asked for directly
