Full-Time Chief Accountant (Budapest)

Duties and Responsibilities:
To provide Hungarian statutory and US GAAP accounting support, conduct necessary statutory reporting and conduct regular reconciliation of US GAAP and Hungarian statutory accounting records. Effectively supervise a team of accountants and financial analysts.
Main job functions:
• ensures full compliance with statutory tax reporting,
• manages US GAAP and corporate SOX reporting activities,
• supervises Company’s payroll and other administrative activities,
• ensures the ledgers (both Hungarian and US GAAP) are current and accurate,
• manages the Company’s operating licenses,
• prepares all statutory reports, Balance Sheet, Income Statement.
Desired Skills & Experience
• Must be a registered certified accountant (mérlegképes könyvelő),
• Has considerable knowledge of finance and accounting procedures based on experience and education in finance and accounting (5 years experience in accounting including 2 year of team management).
• Possesses a university or College degree,
• Ability to work in a Team environment both within Finance and with other Departments,
• Good motivator who has a drive for improvement,
• High level of initiative and motivation to ensure that processes are continuously improved and utilized to their fullest capability,
• Ability to effectively utilize computer technology,
• Good command of the Hungarian and English languages and effective general communication skills with associates.
