We are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced person for the following role:
General Ledger Controller – Dutch speaking
Job purpose:
- Responsible for reliable and timely accounting & control regarding Month-end closing of margin accounting areas (service revenue, direct cost, equipment revenue/cost, commissions etc)
- Manage the process controlling function relating to Vodafone Netherlands to provide accurate, reliable, correct and in-time information to the management of Vodafone Netherlands. Understand and support reporting needs in terms of financial and process controlling.
- Responsible for financial analysis. Work with the business and cross functional teams to explain and justify performance against forecast and prior periods
- Act as a Business Consultant for Vodafone Netherlands in terms of financial process related areas. Proactively Identify improvement ideas.
- Initiate and provide support to E2E process optimisation projects of Vodafone Netherlands Drive process harmonisation and simplification.
Requirements:
- University/College degree preferably in the field of Finance or accounting
- Intermediate Dutch language knowledge is a must
- 3+ years relevant experience
- Fluent English
- Chartered Accountant or equivalent international qualification
- End-to-end knowledge of Finance and Reporting Function
- SAP ECC and BW knowledge is a great advantage
- SOX, IFRS and local GAAP knowledge is a great advantage
- Experience in a multinational environment – preferably shared services experience is an advantage
