Full-Time Operations Engineer (Windows/IIS/.NET) for Cloud Operations – 2nd Level Job
Job Description
Our multinational client is a prestigious company with worldwide presence, for which we are looking for Operations Engineer (Windows/IIS/.NET) for Cloud Operations to their Budapest-based business service center.
Expectations and tasks
– Ability to quickly understand and articulate new product technical requirements
– Drive Operational efficiency topics
– Lead and coordinate operational tasks, customer escalations, process improvements
– Working closely with Internal/External Stakeholders, developers, across locations, to ensure timely delivery
– Participate and contribute towards organization’s goals and objectives, collaborating with multiple teams and solutions
– Experience and exposure to Cloud Operations is advantage
– Adoption and consume new technologies that are relevant to the Cloud Environment
– Work technical and operational initiatives to closure
– Provide 24 hour coverage
– Report errors to development organizations and senior operations teams
– Lead internal projects, extended cross LoB activities/communication
Education and qualifications
– BSc or MS in Software Engineering or Computer Sciences
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills also in English
– Proactive attitude
– Team player
Primary skills
– Expert level in Windows administration, IIS, .NET
– Active directory
– VMware understanding
– Storage San & NAS knowledge
– MSSQL database: Administration, cluster and troubleshooting
Secondary skills
– Exposure to – Linux, Web servers Apache, Tomcat
– Load balancer and firewall concepts
– Standard routing of public network
– Security aspects, and Virtual IP, DNS, DHCP concepts
– Understanding of Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Zabbix, Nagios, Pingdom etc.
– Certification Preferred: MCSA/CCNA
Work experience
– Min. of 5 years of overall software support/operations experience, with a successful delivery track record
– Should have experience in working with global teams and strong communication skills
– Experience of working in large landscape/environment where .NET applications are running
– Understanding of operational frameworks like ITIL/ITSM. Operations process knowledge is an advantage
– DevOps experience a strong plus
– Background in .NET application development and/or triage and troubleshooting a strong plus!
