Job Description

This is a remote, home-based position.

Scopic Software (www.scopicsoftware.com) is the largest virtual software company in the world. We have over 200 employees in 25 different countries. All employees work from home. We develop custom software applications for clients in North America and Europe.
The company is looking to hire a talented web developer with strong PHP development skills. Work hours are flexible. Projects are interesting and challenging.

Required skills:
• Good English reading and writing skills.
• 2+ years of practical experience in source code performance optimization, bottleneck identification, load distribution
• 2+ years of practical experience with the well-known code design patterns used in web / PHP development
• 2+ years of practical experience with any well-known PHP framework (Yii, CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Laravel, Symfony, etc.)
• Frontend programming skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/JQuery
• Dedication and discipline to work remotely from home
• Good home computer and internet connection.

Optional/bonus skills:
• Practical experience in applying code standardization policies
• Practical experience with Yii framework v1 and v2
• Practical experience with additional Javascript frameworks (AngularJS, Backbone.js, knockoutjs, node.js)

This is a full-time position.

The hourly rate range is $15-$22/hour depends on skills and experience.
