Full-Time Senior Commercial Manager – Prepaid
Job Description
Role Purpose
Drive prepaid revenues and profitability in order to gain market share by leading the commercial programs, developing customer propositions and managing the prepaid portfolio based on deep understanding of revenue drivers and market trends.
Responsibilities
P&L responsibility for the consumer prepaid segment
- Accountable for prepaid revenues (i.e. customer numbers, ARPU and mix), and margins incl. cost elements of interconnect costs, acquisition and retention spend
- Monitor the performance of the prepaid portfolio, drive commercial actions to meet or outperform budget targets
- Continuously monitors performance and builds the necessary reporting tools
Monitors underlying market trends
- Constantly follows and understands the market dynamics and project future trends based on:
- Monitoring competitor portfolio on the prepaid markets
- Collecting international benchmarks and best practices
- Analysing customer usage habits and revenue drivers
Drive development and manage lifecycle of differentiated voice & data propositions
- Develop new differentiated voice and data propositions against a robust roadmap with consideration of customer needs, VFHU segment plans and brand priorities, emerging technologies and internal capabilities
- Owner of marketing requirements for new propositions, engage in cross-functional teamwork with product delivery teams to build new products
- Prepare governance documentation and build business cases
- Lead virtual team to orchestrate successful major launches
Product management
- Understand performance of existing portfolio and recommend new prices to maximize customer value through differentiated propositions
- Controls the efficiency of products
- Prepares after launch analyses of the products including migration effects in order to ensure alignment with the plans
- Manages product changes including customer notification and legal requirement
Increase value of the customer base
- Make sure that customer inflow and outflow volume and mix is in line with overall strategy based on customer value and tariffs
- Works together with Customer Value Management team on increasing the active customer base and customer value
Commercial planning
- Create commercial plans in accordance with company planning cycles
- Develop yearly product roadmap based on deep understanding of underlying market trends and revenue drivers
- Support company business and financial planning in cooperation with other Technology, Finance and other related departments
- Support local and regional Management reviews with quality inputs
Lead high performing team
- Recruit, manage, train and motivate direct reporting staff
- Leads and manages the Prepaid Commercial team
- Provide inspirational leadership & coaching to create an aligned, motivated and high performing Prepaid Team
Requirements
- Customer commitment
- Strong commercial skills
- Good strategic understanding
- 3+ years experience commercial management
- Experience with managing the P&L
- A good 1st degree is mandatory, MBA,is an advantage
- Fluent English is mandatory
