Department Profile:
The Legal Entity Group (LEG) is a global group within Morgan Stanley with offices in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Budapest. LEG is the data processing arm of the Client Reference Data domain within the Enterprise Data & Services division. LEG is responsible for legal entity data processing which is then leveraged across the whole Firm.
LEG partners closely with the Legal and Compliance Division, Risk Management, Operations, and other groups within ED&S to help the Firm’s Sales and Trading and Wealth Management business units comply with KYC (Know Your Customer), Anti Money Laundering, tax and transaction reporting regulatory requirements.
The Budapest based Legal Entities Group, Party Management team are responsible for the facilitating the onboarding and update of core client attribute reference data. This includes day to day management of data input and data quality checks as well as facilitating the ongoing development of the function from a technology and stakeholder management perspective.
The team lead will be required to directly manage the local running of the Party management function as well as the oversight of data quality of remote processing locations. The team lead will also act as the central point of contact for all key change initiatives including technology implementation, regulatory reporting changes and the continuous improvement of the function through process re-engineering.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Run the bank management of legal entity on boarding
- Oversight of Vendor data quality
- Vendor relationship management
- Local and global stakeholder management
- Ownership and upkeep of all procedural documentation
- Regulatory and process performance reporting oversight
- Facilitation and functional management of technology and regulatory projects
- Identification and prioritization and delivery of tactical process improvement initiatives.
Skills Desired:
- 5-10 years of relevant professional experience (Client on boarding, AML, Project Management, capital markets)
- Proven track record of managing successful teams
- Ability to manage diverse stakeholder relationships in a shard service function
- Good understanding of process design and workflow implementation
- Awareness of global capital markets regulation in relation to client data
- Track record of identifying implementing process change initiatives
- Strong Project management skills in Client data space
- Good ability to work with management information to drive process improvements
- Awareness of change methodologies such Lean and Six Sigma
- Good communication skills in English both orally and written
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Good organization and prioritization skills
- Bachelors degree
Skills desired:
- Awareness of capital markets products and front to back technologies
- Exposure to stakeholder relationships in multiple jurisdictions
- Understanding of BPM and client data tools and technologies
