Full-Time Software Architect (m/f)
Job Description
FSP is a premium web, mobile and desktop development and design company that is currently recruiting a Software Architect. Our clients range from Fortune 500 companies to high-impact start-ups. This position will be responsible for leading application architecture, project management and technical solutions for our clients. We see our clients as partners and help them build products so they can build their companies.
What we want :
– Excelent English language skills
– 2+ years of software development, application architecture, and/or technical product management
– Ability to accurately estimate and scope developmental work
– Experience in product roadmapping, product development or wireframing considered a plus.
– Client brainstorming and collaboration
– Believer in agile practices, test-driven development and quick iterative cycles
– Direct experience in or high-level understanding of FSP’s technical capabilities: ,CakePHP, Ruby on Rails, Flex, Flash, jQuery, XHTML/CSS, Linux Instance Management, MySQL, SVN, CMS Systems (Drupal, Magento, WordPress, …), Photoshop
– Familiarity with iPhone and Android user interfaces
– Interest in Web 2.0 and Social Media (Facebook API, Twitter API, etc.)
– Cloud computing (e.g., Rackspace Cloud Hosting and Amazon S3)
– Experience using and building REST-based web services
– The ability to clearly communicate ideas, decisions, and rationale to a non-technical audience is vital
– A willingness to multitask is a huge plus! The right candidate will be able to juggle multiple projects and clients simultaneously
– Ability to manage and collaborate with offsite application development team
– BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science
– In many instances, experience will supersede educational focus areas
