Full-Time TECHNOLOGIST / MOULD DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBLE
Job Description
Tecnica Group SpA is leader in production of skiboots, skiis, shoes, skates, clothing and accessories with the following brands: Tecnica, Nordica, Blizzard, Rollerblade, Bladerunner, Dolomite and Moonboot.
Tecnica Group SpA is recruiting a Technologist / Head of the Moulding Department in order to strengthen its plant in Hungary.
The candidate, who will report to the Production Manager of the Plant, will be responsible for the operative management of the Moulding Department and will:
- organize and develop the productive structure of the department, balancing the human resources allocated (60 employees over 4 shifts and a fleet of 20 units composed of vertical and horizontal presses);
- coordinate the activities of the maintenance department;
- ensure active oversight of the moulding process by guaranteeing stability, standardization while cooperating with the departments of Quality Assurance, Total Quality and Mould Design;
- monitor key performance indicators of the industrial production area (scraps/wastes, cycle times, efficiencies, etc..) as well as propose improvements of operational programs;
- promote continuous technological innovation of the plastic processing plants;
- plan and run all activities related to research and development of plastic materials in coordination with the HQ Technical Lab for this purpose and by establishing direct relationships with the major suppliers of raw materials;
- transmit to the production departments of the plant as well to production units outside all the necessary technical information for a proper implementation of the semi-finished products (operational instructions, process specifications, acceptable requirements, reference samples, etc…);
- promote, validate, support and be responsible for projects in his own area by defining the priorities with the Manager of the Production Plant.
The ideal candidate is a graduate in Engineering and/or chemistry of materials with about 5 years of experience in modernly organized companies operating in the plastic process sector or similar fields.
Good knowledge of office automation, availability to frequent travels abroad (Italy) and a very good knowledge of English are required.
